It isn't the first one. I had one that was MaryJane420 also. I mean come on people! Get an email address that is somewhat professional. But it does keep us laughing.

I want to thank all of you for the birthday wishes. I was surprised at the amount of comments, emails and MS comments about my birthday. And thanks to all of you that sent bday cards. They will mostly likely stay up until the end of the month. LOL

I had a really great birthday and it was nice being off work. The biggest surprise of all was that my dad called me. This is the first time he has called me in years. I am hoping that possibly we may be able to rebuild our little family. One day at a time.

And I sorta feel it. I had a hard time staying up until midnight last night. It has been a rough weekend though. I mean it. It's after 10 on a Monday and I have yet to get out of bed. And there is so much I want to do today. I hope today goes better than the birthday weekend. But I guess it is what you make of it.

Friday: Office party. Awesome food and cake. Got my marketing project up and running. I couldn't even sit with everyone while they sang, "happy birthday" because I was so involved with this project. I love it! Then home was okay except for a little family mishap but it was all solved.

Saturday: Got up early. The fam and I drove out to Muskogee for the Renaissance fair. But what got screwed up was, I wasn't paying attention and missed my exit. I drove an hour out of the way at $3.59 a gallon. Talk about being mad at myself. Then when we finally get to the gate, I realized that I lost $60 out of my pocket. I hope someone had a good day on my money. The fair was fun but I was missing Adam. We wore ourselves out!

Sunday: Was bad. I got really mad at my brother over some really stupid shit. But I had some anger built up and I exploded. (Ronnie, if you are reading this...I'm sorry. I shouldn't have taken it out on you. I know you have enough crap going on.) So that bothered me most of the day. To blow off steam, I did some shopping. Got a pair of shoes for work and a new pair of slacks. Still looking for the perfect pair of khaki's. That is my mission for today.

So happy birthday to me. I'm not going to let things bother me that I have no control over and that I cannot change. I'm going to have fun and share my love. Have a great Carrie's birthday. LOL

My Birthday Is Next Monday...

and I am just now getting into the mood for it. I usually spoil and get spoiled over the month of May. It has been tough lately and I haven't been feeling it. That was until last night. I got a coupon via email from Schlotsky's for a free small original for my birthday. I forgot all about signing up for their buns club.

Then I get to work and only me and one of my coworkers are working this morning. The other got sent to a conference and bossman is in another. I needed some time to get things caught up. Oh and then this repair shop brought us donuts. I'm trying to be good. Then tomorrow our building is having a break party in the morning. (I just know they thought of me. LOL) And lets not mention that the coworker that is here, celebrates her birthday Saturday. This means a big lunch party here at work. They order these very special cakes from Wanda's plus get this, since we shared instead of having two separate birthday lunches, we are getting Red Lobster!!!!

Poor Adam has to put up with me this weekend and Monday because I took the day off. I know I sound a little (lol) self-absorbed but really, we don't celebrate anything but our birthdays. So get your birthday cards in the mail to me. And wish me a happy 34th on Monday! Love you guys!!!

It Still Works!

Yesterday was Mother's Day and my brother put together a fine dinner for our family. Mom had to work so we didn't get together until late. Anyway, my nephews have recently been obsessed with all things Popeye. You know where I am going with this, right?

So Sam shows up at our house with Popeye spinach. He played with the can. He swung it on the swings. It went down the slide. He had us all try to squeeze the can to see if we can make it burst. LOL We finally asked him if he was ready to try it. He was happy to but it had to be right out of the can and not heated.

The little bugger loved it. Almost ate the whole can! His little brother even had a few bites. But Jacob just couldn't do it. They were prancing around with no shirts and showed their muscles! I can't believe the Popeye thing still works. I wonder if it would work on Adam. Hm....

Another Fantabulous Weekend.

And I am actually in a good mood today. It helps that the boss is out golfing and I am able to work without being interrupted. I hope the weather is as gorgeous at your home as it is here.

Saturday was my mum's birday. She says that it is the only day of the year that us kids are nice to her. pshh. Whatever. Okay so we weren't bitchy like we normally are. We are the crankiest kids anyone can ever imagine. Oh and don't get me started on the bickering. We all do that. I think Adam has even wrote us off. He pretty much refuses to do anything with my mother and I because we just go on and on. But you know what is worse? When my brother's kids are there too. I think he spoils them. I'm much more strict. My mother is the extreme opposite. So none of us agree on how to treat them. That just causes more bickering.

On this birthday, we found that it was mom, me, bro and Sam. (He's almost 7). We were supposed to go out to the Renaissance Fair but my head hurt because I got pounced in my sleep from my cats and they actually scratched up my face. So that was another point. I would be outside the entire day with a bruised up arm and huge scratches on my face. I don't think my brother wanted to walk around with me like that either because people would "assume" that he beat me. LOL After the initial fit that Sam had, I left. I can't stand when kids act like that. It reminds me of myself and I can't have that. LOL After I got cleaned up, I went back over to see if he was done. I know, I am mean but he is old enough not to act like that.

We went to a German festival that is down the street from my house. (It was indoor and I wore a jacket.) I thought it was really fun. We got to eat German food, have beer and Sam got to do arts and crafts. Then as our gift for her birthday, we put in the vegetable garden. I'm so glad Ronnie was there because when we put in our flower garden, it killed me. Adam helped out and it was nice seeing 2 men doing most of the labor. Then mom and I planted our veggies. It is a great garden and I expect a lot from it. We finished up the evening with pizza on the picnic table.

Sunday was quiet for the most part. We had are normal brunch and Ronnie and Sam joined us. I rested for a few hours and then started the 15 loads of laundry I had. I don't know if there is that much but it felt that way. I haven't done laundry since before Vegas! I was getting kinda nekkid. Good thing Adam kept the towels up. Later, me and mom planted the green beans and the last of the odds and ends.

I have to say it was lovely spending most of the weekend outside. How was your weekend?
